Beryl Cook: A Private View
10th September 2025
A new play about the late, great painter, Beryl Cook, in which Kara Wilson portrays the artist painting in her studio.
The humorous and exuberant paintings of Beryl Cook are known and loved throughout the world but little is known of the very private person behind them. Kara Wilson has worked with the artist’s son, John Cook, to shed light on this intriguing character.
This is Kara Wilson‘s fifth play on a painter and earlier works in this unique genre have toured galleries, auction houses and theatres in Scotland, England, Poland, and New York .
This is the right hand half of the painting Ladies Night, the other half is painted in the show. The audience will have the opportunity to buy the painting after the show. |
